TORRANCE, CA - Proton's new iR-800
LCD Touchscreen Universal Remote Control has been honored
with the Innovations Design and Engineering Award at the
International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The iR-800 was designed and engineered to be the ultimate
easy-to-use universal smart remote control for home theater
systems. The LCD touchscreen allows the user to personalize
different screens to access and operate any home entertainment
system.
The Proton iR-800 controls up
to 15 devices. Not only can the iR-800 learn any infrared
remote code, but it has a large library of built-in codes,
and can also be programmed via a PC and Proton's programming
software. The remote's macro capability is 60 commands per
function key, with virtually no limitation of macro buttons.
For even easier real-time operation, the iR-800 features
an automatic backlight with an adjustable light-level sensor,
as well as direct access rubber keypad buttons for frequently
used functions and device touchscreen panels. The docking
station adds even more to the function and looks of the
iR-800 making it almost impossible to misplace the remote
control.
Display device screens are based
on specific equipment, ensuring that the function keys will
not need to be modified for each device. The LCD touchscreen
learning remote control, completely configurable, allows
the custom installer and consumer to utilize the iR-800
in many demanding applications where a full control system
is not needed or is simply too expensive.
With its slim profile, well balanced
feel, and docking station, the iR-800 is a high-end solution
to controlling all home theater equipment at an affordable
price.
